I scouted fans for photographer, Nhat Nguyen, at Coachella last weekend. He runs Fan Flavor, a fun website dedicated to music fans of all kinds. It’s motto is “the look of music fandom.” Here are just a couple of the fans I found — you can check out the rest at Fan Flavor. At an event like Coachella, with a sea of thousands, it can be challenging to get your photographer to see the people you’re scouting. Here are a couple of the nicknames I used to direct his eye: Pretty Kitty and Sexy Swimsuit.

Embossing label makers are my favorite type. The labels are shiny, graphic, bright, and textured. The Dymo Caption Maker may take the prize for the best embossing label maker yet, with three changeable disks for three different fonts: lowercase, uppercase, and script fonts.
Amendment: January 10, 2010…
A friend just gifted the Dymo Caption Maker to me today. I began using it avidly, and it worked wonderfully with one exception, the kerning — the space between the letters — was contracted after using the lowercase “n”. I’m hoping that this was just a bad stroke of luck, and not that this irregularity is an indication of a bad product. A simple exchange may fix this situation.

The bell jar is a magical way of displaying your lilliputian collections, novelties, and plants. The large glass jar gives its contents a charming apothecary feel. Plus, imagine being able to display collections without having to dust their nooks and crannies. Here are just a few I found on our great internet landscape.
